MERSEA Island RFC cruised to a London League Division Four north east 57-12 away victory at Crusaders completing a memorable season in fine style by running in nine superb tries.
Determined to end the season with a powerful performance, the Islanders certainly showed why they are champions and totally blew their Norfolk opponents away in the opening quarter.
Every Mersea player was instrumental in the fine victory and played their part in securing the Islanders 16th league win of the season.
