WITHAM TOWN can deal a further blow to Redbridge's play-off hopes tonight.

Dean Holdworth's high-flying team fell to their first defeat in seven matches when they lost at Northwood at the weekend.

And with Town on a high following their impressive away triumph at Aveley, it could prove to be a nervy night for the east London side.

Witham picked up a creditable 2-2 draw when the two clubs last met back in August.

However, Town caretaker boss Tony Last is preparing his side for a difficult encounter at the Spicer McColl Stadium, Spa Road.

He said: "Redbridge are one of the best sides in the division by a long way.

"They have a lot of pace in their side and they work very hard.

"But we've got nothing to lose and the youngsters in our squad have the chance to prove themselves.

"They have responded to the challenge in the right way and I hope that will continue."

Grant O'Donnell is likely to be out after suffering a hamstring injury in the second half of the win at Aveley.

His injury forced Witham to make changes during that match, with Michael Toner and Lance Forrester performing well in central defence and Danny Shipton filling in competently at left-back.

Eighteen-year-old Marcus Bowers impressed in central midfield, as Town's young side showed promise for the future.

Striker David Hawes is likely to return after being unavailable for recent matches.
