Colchester United goalkeeper Ben Williams is set to return to action when the U's reserves face Stevenage tonight.
Williams, last season's player of the year, has not played for the U's first team this season after picking up an ankle injury in last month's Essex Senior Cup Final against AFC Hornchurch.
And while he did travel to Walsall with the rest of the Colchester squad last weekend, manager John Ward considered it too soon for him to return to full action.
However, Ward said before the game that he was planning for Williams to play tonight (kick-off 7pm).
