Ponteland businesswoman and author, Lynn Crawford, has launched a new book and Community Interest Company (CIC) to support solo parents after separation or divorce.

Ms Crawford's book, 'Thriving Alone: A Guide to Solo Parenting after Separation and Divorc', sees the author share her 'empowering perspective' and practical tips aimed at making single parenthood easier.

Drawing from her own experience as an ex-military wife and single parent, Ms Crawford provides research-backed strategies blended with heartfelt anecdotes.

Ms Crawford's work extends beyond the pages of her book.

Intent on offering a holistic support system, she has founded a CIC called 'Thriving Alone'.

Thriving Alone hopes to provide assistance to parents through workshops, drop-ins, and various initiatives.

The book and CIC delve into crucial themes, such as managing co-parenting arrangements, fostering supportive networks, and creating enriching lives for both solo parents and their children.

Not shying away from the difficulties, Ms Crawford honestly reflects on solo parenting challenges, but at the same time, emphasises its potential for personal growth and fulfilment.

Thriving Alone is pitched as a must-read for anyone transitioning to solo parenthood after a divorce.

The book, coupled with the CIC, aims to provide practical direction, encouragement, and a sense of comradeship at every step of the way.
