Re-fit – Leisure World's Activa Gym will close for ten days starting next Tuesday, but the rest of the facility will be open as norma;
LEISURE World will shut its gym for ten days as part of a major refit.
The facility will close from next Tuesday until Friday, May 17 as part of a refurbishment which will involve fitting new flooring and lighting.
In the meantime, equipment will be moved to the sports hall as part of a temporary set-up, with the rest of the Leisure World facility open as normal.
The newly revamped Activa Gym will re-open at 5pm on Friday, May 17.
Leisure World remains Colchester Council’s most profitable leisure asset, with figures showing it will post profits of £339,900 in the 2023-24 financial year following three years of consecutive losses.
