A MAN accused of harassment will stand trial before magistrates next year.
Dirk van Rooyen appeared before magistrates on Wednesday to deny the charge which involves accusations dating back nearly two years.
Van Rooyen, of Winston Avenue, Colchester, is accused of abusing Gary Shacklock and, according to an official court listing, “spraying water at him over the fence”.
It is also alleged van Rooyen used abusive language towards Mr Shacklock during a one-week period in June 2022.
A trial date for van Rooyen, 50, has been set for August 2025.
