Mersea Island were forced to call off their London League division three north east game at Norwich due to injuries and unavailabilities.
The Islanders had nine front row players either carrying injuries or not able to play and had been able to cover these shortages, but just hours before kick-off two more were forced out by illness and the fixture had to be postponed.
Mersea are now looking to rearrange the game and they are also hoping to have a recovered squad for tomorrow’s National Senior Vase third round tie at Medway in Kent.
