Danny Johnston hailed the maturity shown by Colchester Rugby Club’s players in their “fantastic” performance against Thurrock.
A 15-3 success kept Colchester’s hopes of still securing promotion from London League division one north very much alive and coach Johnston said it was a display that highlighted the progress the team has made this year.
He said: “It was a fantastic performance.
“In fact I’d go as far as to say that it was the best that I have seen at Colchester since I came here to coach."
