Just as Admiral Lord Nelson called on every one of his men to do their duty for England, Tim Grimsey is calling for his players to play their part in Colchester’s promotion push.

They face one of the biggest tests of their season tomorrow when third-placed Chingford visit Mill Road.

Grimsey said: “The boys know what they have to do. It’s Nelson Time – every man knows his duty and knows they have to play their part.

“We have to make sure we have the best 15 players on the pitch in defence and attack and that everything we do is done with quality and skill.”

Grimsey added that he would love to see a big crowd at the game.

He said: “I believe we are playing some great rugby and I want the people of Colchester to be part of what we are doing.”

Colchester squad: Andy Le Chevalier, Tom Crozier, James Mitchell, Elliott Castle, Ollie White, Jako Nel, Dan Whiteman, Ollie Pickett, Brett Cutbush, Chris Withers, Damien Brambley, Jon Vine, Calum Irvine, Jack Wiggins, James Crozier, Ricky McFarlane, Nick Cooper-Hicks, Nick Flexman.
