While their push for league promotion remains the priority for Colchester Rugby Club, there will be no lifting of feet from pedals as they look to defend their Suffolk Cup crown.
Colchester are without a London League division one north game this weekend, but return to action in the semi-final of the Suffolk Cup against Bury at Mill Road on Tuesday (kick-off 7.30pm).
They will be looking to repeat the success they had last year in the cup competition and coach Tim Grimsey insists they will approach the game with the same intensity as they would for any league fixture.
He said: “There’s no question that we will take it lightly because it’s not the league. We have to try to win every game of rugby, whether it is cup or league and our approach will be the same.
Colchester squad: James Brotherton, Matt Adamson, Shane Manning, Liam Pickett, Elliott Castle, Ollie Pickett, Ollie White, Dan Whiteman, Brett Cutbush, Damien Brambley, Jack Wiggins, Calum Irvine, Jon Vine, James Crozier, Nick Flexman, Adam Cook, Lawrence Tapper, Gideon Kamya-Lakodu, Jako Nel, Owen Herbert, Sam Edwards.
