Steven Gillespie feels Colchester United’s fans can expect to see more from his strike partnership with David Mooney.
The U’s 5-1 win against Exeter City was only the fourth game the two have started alongside each other, but they appear to be developing an encouraging understanding.
And Gillespie thinks it is a combination that can continue to grow as Colchester keep their chase for an npower League One play-off place going.
He said: “There is definitely more to come from this partnership.
“It all started at Charlton away and we have discussed it between ourselves.
“There were some little flicks between us and good understanding that day and it will only get better."
