Colchester United won’t be going ‘gung-ho’ in their search for wins, but manager John Ward feels his team has little to lose by continuing with their attacking intent for the remainder of the season.
That continues with the visit of Exeter City to the Weston Homes Community Stadium at an earlier kick-off time of 1pm.
And Ward is promising to keep to the same positive approach that brought them three points against Oldham Athletic on Tuesday. He said: “I think we have everything to go for and not a lot to lose.
“We wanted to be in the top six and that is a bit more difficult now, but why not.
“Why shouldn’t we do that?
“We are looking at things to try to give us the formula that will give us an attacking approach.
“We owe it to ourselves and our supporters to be as positive as we can, when we can."
