Ward: we won't stop attacking Ward: we won't stop attacking

Colchester United manager John Ward isn’t ready to relinquish his team’s attacking intent.

The U’s head into tomorrow’s npower League One game against Oldham at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on the back of defeats against Charlton and Huddersfield.

Having taken a 2-1 lead through some entertaining attacking play, the U’s were pegged back by the Terriers at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday, eventually losing 3-2.

And while Ward (pictured) remained disappointed that his side hadn’t been able to defend their advantage, he said he wouldn’t stop going on the front foot.

Ward said: “I said at the start (of the season) that I would stick with what we are trying to do.

“We are getting on the ball, attacking people and are scoring goals and I think that’s good."
