Providing high-quality alternative education for excluded pupils and schoolgirl mothers is a feat which earned Sue Podd the accolade of Education Champion. The head teacher of the Coningsby Referral Unit was recognised for her leadership skills and was commended for her "amazing" rapport with the children at the Unit.
