Croydon Police's forensic team which painstakingly gathers evidence at crime scenes throughout the borough has been named the Crime Prevention Champion.
Regularly referred to as the "unsung heroes" of the borough's police force, the civilian crime scene examiners are among the most successful officers in the Met in providing forensic evidence, such as fingerprints and DNA, leading to the identification of suspects.
