Colchester golfer Jamie Moul broke his run of PGA European Tour events where he hasn’t made the halfway cut by securing his place in the weekend’s action at the ISPS HANDA Perth International in Australia.

Despite a disappointing second-day score of 75, that dropped him down into a tie for 46th in the overall standings, his opening round of 70 helped secure the Stoke by Nayland member’s inclusion in the final two rounds at Lake Karrinyup in Perth.

It is the first time in his last five PGA European Tour events that Moul has made the midway cut and only the second time in 12 outings that he has had the potential to claim tournament prize money.

He will now be hoping for a solid final two rounds and will tee off in the third round on Saturday alongside Australia’s Peter Wilson, with the pair teeing off at 9.29am local time (2.29am British time).
