Ian Henderson says he owes Aidy Boothroyd a debt of gratitude for helping to shape his career.

But the Colchester United forward says there will be no room for sentiment when he comes up against the man he calls his mentor tonight.

I know I won't be the only person to say this... But you need to up your game Hendo. You were one of the players that lacked commitment when we had Ward. You showed a lack of fitness at times, and I wasn't surprised that Dunne dropped you. Fight for your place now, and score goals. Instead of being a boring player, down the line. You used to make some exciting runs, with pace, at the defenders. And work your way in the box, but recently it just seemed like you couldn't be bothered.

I hope you take the above comment as a few words of advice. Rather then laugh at it Hendo.

I actually thought hendo played his best football under ward and that was last season. He was average under boothroyd as he has been so far this season.
