Winning is the main motivation, insists U's boss Dunne

Joe Dunne has insisted that his Colchester United players should not need any extra motivation to beat Yeovil Town tomorrow.
The U’s travel to Huish Park, just weeks after being dumped out of the Capital One Cup at the venue by the Glovers.
Colchester lost 3-0 in the first-round tie in August but much has happened since then, for both clubs.
After a dire start to the season led to John Ward being sacked, Dunne has turned the U’s fortunes around after winning his first two games in charge.
And after showing early-season promise, Yeovil have lost their last six matches under Gary Johnson.
Colchester have an immediate opportunity to exact revenge over their hosts tomorrow, for that cup defeat.
But Dunne believes maintaining that winning feeling should be motivation enough for his players.
Dunne said: “The players’ motivation is to win, no matter what.
“If the players don’t have that motivation, they won’t be playing in my team.
“Yeovil beat us quite comfortably that night.
“We need to look at how they did that but we always do our homework on every team.
“The fact that they’ve lost six on the bounce really doesn’t interest me.
“For me, it’s all about us and it’s how we turn up, how we prepare and what we’re going to do.
“What Yeovil do is down to them and the one thing that I believe in is that we must focus on our strengths and do what’s right for us.
“We need to impose ourselves on the opposition, irrespective of who we’re playing or where we’re playing.
“The mentality should always stay the same, whether you’re at home or away.
“All that changes are the surroundings so focus on what we want to do and how we want to play is key.
“It’s been a hard week and things have gone well but it’s important that we continue that.”

t’s all we ask.
Just hope the fans recognise this and come back....because last Saturday’s atmosphere was pretty good with only three odd thousand there. Up the U's!
