New loan duo Sanchez Watt and Craig Eastmond have already brought the Arsenal touch to Colchester United.

And the young pair have pledged to turn on the style on a regular basis, during their three-month stay with the U’s.

Colchester travel to play Swindon Town tonight, on the back of the on-loan Gunners pair’s impressive debuts for the club.

Watt and Eastmond both shone in the U’s 3-1 triumph over Hartlepool United, bringing their own piece of Arsenal’s silky football to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Watt said: “It’s about believing in ourselves - everyone loves football and we want to play.

“We played the way that Arsenal do and passed and moved the same way.

“As the game went on, we got more comfortable with it and we got stronger and stronger.

“We’ll obviously have to change our tactics a bit for different matches but we want to be attacking with pace and not just sitting back.

“Our game plan worked against Hartlepool.

“We had confidence in each other and we were giving the ball in places where maybe other teams wouldn’t give it.

“It’s great to have Craig with me here.

“We’re living together and we’ve both got to try and make sure that we stay in the team and work hard.”

Two quality players and hopefully you will both be here for longer than just 3 months. Up the U's.
