Taylor steps down as Seasiders manager

Andy Taylor has stepped down as FC Clacton manager.

The Seasiders boss is calling it a day after a win-less start to the new Thurlow Nunn League season.

The club are second from bottom in the premier division table, having lost five and drawn two of their seven matches so far.

They have also been knocked out of both the FA Cup and FA Vase.

Taylor met with club officials tonight and his resignation has now been confirmed.

Ray Turner, a former Clacton player who was assistant boss during Steve Pitt’s tenure at the Rush Green Bowl, is set to be appointed as Taylor’s replacement.
