U'S legend Bobby Hunt believes the pressure will be on league leaders Charlton Athletic when two of his former clubs locks swords tonight.

Hunt, who holds the record for the highest number of league goals scored for Colchester United in one season, feels the U’s have nothing to fear at the Valley.

The 69-year-old former striker was impressed by the U’s dominant performance in beating Preston North End 3-0, last Saturday.

And as they prepare to take on League One’s runaway leaders, Hunt feels John Ward’s side can go into the clash in positive mood.

Hunt said: “I’ll be at tonight’s game, cheering Colchester on.

“It’ll be a very hard game for Colchester but we can go there with confidence.

“Charlton are expected to win because they’re at home and they’re top of the division.

“But if Colchester show the right attitude, they can give anyone a game and they have to just keep it up.

“Charlton are a good side but you never know what might happen and if the U’s can compete like they did against Preston, who knows?

“All of the pressure will be on Charlton and Colchester have nothing to lose, especially after the Preston win.

“It was the best I’ve seen from Colchester in a long time.

“The way that they closed Preston down in every department was very impressive.

“Our confidence was very high and I think that was one of the biggest things behind the win.

“We made a bit of a shaky start but after that, they were brilliant."
