Young Colchester United starlet Ben Coker has a big future in the game, according to Glenn Pennyfather.
And the Chelmsford City boss admitted he would have loved to have kept the U’s man at Melbourne Park.
Left-back Coker has just returned from a successful two-month loan spell at the Blue Square Bet South promotion-chasers.
The 21-year-old earned rave reviews for his performances, during his seven-game spell with the Clarets.
Coker is now back at Colchester and was on the bench for their goal-less draw with Yeovil Town, last weekend.
The former Bury Town man is a bright prospect, according to Chelmsford manager Pennyfather.
Pennyfather told the Gazette: “Ben has a very big future in the game.
“It was fantastic for him that he was in the Colchester squad, last Saturday.
“He spent two months with us - he was an absolute pleasure and a credit to himself and his club."
