Colchester boxer, Lee ‘Lights Out’ Purdy, returns to the ring on the undercard of the exciting Night of International Boxing at York Hall in Bethnal Green on Friday night.
Purdy will be facing Theophilus Tetteh of Ghana over eight three-minutes rounds.
The bout will be Purdy’s first time back in the ring since his gripping 12-round unanimous points decision loss for the Commonwealth title against Denton Vassell in April.
The Colchester welterweight is currently the Southern Area champion but believes after his heroic performance back in April, more title challenges are on the horizon.
He said: “I’m back in the swing of things after the disappointment of losing in April.
“Training has gone well, I’ve had some great sparring and now I just can’t wait to get back in the ring.
“We are keeping busy with this fight and hopefully by the end of the year I will be in a position to challenge for either a Commonwealth or British title.”
