Winger Devann Yao is chasing first-team football after signing a short-term contract at Portman Road.
The free agent has joined for the rest of this season after the club finally worked through paperwork relating to compensation due to former teams Metz, Livorno, Pisa and St Mirren.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here and I’m very happy I now have the chance to play for Ipswich,” said the 19-year-old.
"I’m here until the summer and hopefully in that time I can break into the first team.
“If I can play one or two games that would mean I’m making progress."
