TWO Clacton Snooker League stalwarts have stepped down.
Fred Mencarini and Peter Koniotis have served on the league’s committee for more than six decades between them.
Mencarini has been chairman for over 40 years and is being replaced by Keith Gregory.
Koniotis, the long-serving treasurer, is being replaced by Brian Clemenson.
The league would like to thank both men for all their years of hard work.
Meanwhile, newcomers Dovercourt United Services have been crowned as Clacton League champions.
It was their first season in the league and their winning team consisted of John Clover, Sam Self, Rob Turner, Chris Bacon and Alan Brown.
They received their prize at the league’s recent annual meeting and presentation evening.
