STANWAY ROVERS boss Angelo Harrop is hopeful of making “one or two” more close-season signings.

The Thurlow Nunn League premier division side are setting their sights on a title push next season, having finished third last term.

Rovers have already recruited Ben Newson – joint top-scorer for Brightlingsea Regent last season – and Terry Rymer, from AFC Sudbury.

And more new faces could now follow in the next few weeks.

Several potential signings will be checked out during trials later in the close season.

“I still hope to bring in one or two more,” said Harrop, who, in addition to Newson and Rymer, has seen skipper Pip Boyland sign an FA contract at The Hawthorns.
