TIPTREE Elite lifted their second piece of silverware of the Braintree Sunday League season with a 2-0 win against Notley in the Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy final.
There were some early scares in front of the Tiptree goal, but Notley were unable to convert and found themselves behind at half-time after Elite’s Matthew Eve fired into the top-left corner of the goal from the edge of the box.
Tiptree keeper Morley had to be alert to keep his team ahead after the restart.
But Elite then got on top and, with seven minutes remaining, they got a decisive second.
Harry Harris fired home to wrap up a 2-0 victory and Elite went on to raise the trophy.
