ASSISTANT manager Tom Rothery is leaving Brightlingsea Regent.
James Webster’s number two and head coach has announced he is leaving the club after three and a half years at North Road.
In that time he has helped the club gain promotion to the Ryman League from the Thurlow Nunn League.
And Regent exceeded all expectations last season by finishing sixth - only just missing out on the play-offs - in their first year in division one north.
“I’m sad to say that I’ve decided to leave Brightlingsea,” said Rothery, who was also Brightlingsea’s secretary.
“It’s been a tough call but I feel I’ve made the right decision."
