Harwich are crowned as runners-up
HARWICH and Dovercourt Hockey Club have been confirmed as Suffolk Women’s League runners-up.
It has been the club’s best-ever season and they finished their premier division campaign with a 3-0 victory at home to Ipswich and East Suffolk twos.
Harwich went into the game knowing a win would see them finish second.
By getting the points they needed, they finished a point above Christchurch – who had played an illegible player against them, meaning Harwich were awarded a 5-0 win – and seven behind champions Ipswich and East Suffolk.
