TWO Frinton Lawn Tennis Club youngsters tasted success at the Dedham Open.
Nine-year-old Alasdair Main played and won four matches to reach the final, against an opponent from Ipswich.
He then won the final in dominant fashion, hitting powerful, deep drives and forcing his experienced opponent left and right.
He won in two sets, 7-5 and 7-2.
Alex Skinner, also from Frinton, won three of his five matches, finishing a commendable fifth place.
Both boys were part of the club’s Aegon League-winning team last year and begin their 2015 campaign in a couple of weeks.
