PARIS: A European Airbus took off from Paris yesterday for the longest
flight undertaken by an airliner -- non-stop from France to New Zealand.
A French pilot and British co-pilot were at the controls of the ''World
Ranger'', which was scheduled to fly the 11,870 miles to Auckland in 22
hours.
