BURNHAM Ramblers boss Bertie Brayley has stepped down.
In a statement the manager of the Ryman League division one north club, that was relegated last week, said: “I am resigning as Burnham Ramblers manager with immediate effect due to the chairman Billy Hannan and club secretary Shaun Pugh resigning at a meeting last night.
“I feel it is only fair for a new manager to take the remainder of the season’s games to prepare for next season’s campaign.
“I would like to wish everybody at the club the very best for the future and would also like to thank Billy and Shaun for this opportunity.”
The news that chairman William Hannan and secretary Shaun Pugh would stand down at the end of the season was revealed at a special meeting following the club’s AGM on Monday night.
Hannan and Pugh will relinquish their roles at the club on May 31.
