Colchester United make a rapid return to Cardiff City tonight when their under-21s play their first game of 2015.
The U’s youngsters take on the Bluebirds at the Cardiff City Stadium, kick-off 7pm.
John McGreal's side will be looking for their first win of the calendar year against second-placed Cardiff, in Professional Development League Two.
The game will see a quick return to the venue for the likes of Dion Sembie-Ferris, Tom Lapslie and Kane Vincent-Young, who were all among the substitutes when Colchester's first team were beaten 3-1 at Cardiff in the FA Cup third round, last Friday.
West Ham United youngster Taylor Tombides will also get another chance to impress for the under-21s.
