SHELL-SHOCKED Colchester United boss Tony Humes has called on his players to “stand up and be counted” following their MK Dons humiliation.
The U’s were thrashed 6-0 to slump to their heaviest league defeat in more than 20 years, suffering a fourth successive loss in League One.
Colchester were out-classed in all departments by a rampant Dons side, who ran riot at stadiummk.
Humes branded the performance and result “unacceptable” and apologised to the U’s fans who made the effort to watch the game.
And although he admitted he has to take part responsibility for his side’s embarrassing defeat, the Colchester manager wants his young players to also accept their share of the blame following their dire performance.
