Sean Marks is confident that Braintree Town’s players can bounce back positively from the sticky patch that they have found themselves in recently.

A run of no league wins from ten games is far from the form that the Iron would have liked as they have suffered from a horrendous run of injuries.

But Marks feels they operate best in adversity and is sure that an upturn will come soon, hopefully starting with today’s home game against Wrexham.

He said: “We all club together when our backs are against the wall.

“Sometimes when things are going well we can take things for granted a bit.

“Maybe the attitude changes a bit at the moment we just haven’t been picking up results.

“We haven’t been working as hard as we should, but when our backs are against the wall our team spirit always comes together and the management skills of Devs (boss Alan Devonshire) will come into play.

“He and Keith (Rowland) are vital parts of it and we always seem to get it together when we’re up against it and then go on runs.

“The best thing for us is to play games.

“We’ve been in difficult situations before when we’ve been written off and somehow got out of it.

“It’s just about working hard, keep getting chances, start putting the ball in the net and it will take off from there.”
