WITHAM Town are in FA Trophy second qualifying round action today and boss Garry Kimble will be ordering his players to go for broke.
Evo-Stick Southern League premier division side Truro City will visit the Village Glass Stadium and Kimble knows that an inconclusive result can’t be the outcome.
A draw would mean a replay and a 680-mile round midweek trip to Cornwall, which the Town boss feels may well be beyond his squad.
He said: “We’ll certainly be going all-out for the win at the first time of asking.
“We can’t hold anything back and we’ll see what happens.
“If it’s 0-0 with a few minutes remaining then we will have to go for it because the last thing we want is to travel down there on a Tuesday.
“It’s such a long way and I’ll have to ask my players to take two days off work.
“It’s the type of situation that we’d have to consider conceding the tie if it went to a replay.”
In Ryman League, MALDON & TIPTREE boss Alan Kimble said he was hoping to have a few new faces in his side ahead of their home game against Waltham Abbey in division one north tomorrow, while BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT travel to Thurrock for an Essex derby.
