A depleted Mersea Island are looking to make it second time lucky today.
The Islanders make the long trip to Cambridgeshire to take on Wisbech in Eastern Counties League division one.
Mersea were due to have travelled to Wisbech last weekend in the London and South East RFU Junior Vase second round.
However, they were forced to pull out of the fixture because they were without a front row and suffering from unavailabilities.
Skipper Jon Williams said: “It was unfortunate that we couldn’t get a side together for the cup game.
“However, we have to look to the league this weekend and we don’t want to have points deducted.
“We still have a number of availabilty issues but we will be trying our hardest to fulfil the fixture.”
