BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT manager James Webster hailed the spirit in the camp after his side won their first-ever Ryman League fixture.
After kicking off the new division one north season with a 3-1 defeat at Tilbury on Saturday, Ricky Griggs’ goal gave them a 1-0 victory against Soham Town Rangers on Tuesday night.
It was the club’s first home fixture at step four level.
And Webster said: “It was a really great night for the club.
“Occasions like that make the hard work worthwhile.
“The whole club is buzzing and we had a crowd of 155.
“The atmosphere was great and we gave the supporters plenty to enjoy, because we played really well as a team."
