Colchester United’s players have not talked about the possibility of being relegated, according to Gavin Massey.
The U’s attacker says he and his team-mates are confident that they can remain in League One, ahead of their huge game with Stevenage this weekend.
Colchester, who are only kept out of the bottom four on goal difference, are desperate for victory against bottom side Boro’ at Broadhall Way to boost their survival hopes.
And Massey believes it is imperative that they stay up, particularly for the progression of the club’s young players.
Massey said: “No-one has even talked about League Two - we don’t want to be known as a League Two club.
“It’s massively important that we stay up."
