U's fans send out SOS

Essex County Standard: U's fans send out SOS U's fans send out SOS

Colchester United supporters are sending out an SOS ahead of their crunch basement battle with Stevenage this weekend.

U’s fans want to “Sell Out Stevenage”, with momentum gathering to pack the away end for their vital League One relegation six-pointer at Broadhall Way on Saturday.

Colchester’s damaging 2-1 home defeat against Tranmere Rovers has left them precariously close to the drop zone, with only goal difference keeping them out.

And that has prompted a rallying cry from their supporters, ahead of their huge game with fellow strugglers Boro’.

Tickets for Colchester’s trip to Stevenage are priced at £20 for adults, £17 concessions (60 years plus), £12 youth (16-21 years), £10 juniors (seven-15) and £7 infants.

Ticket prices increase by £2 on the day apart from infant prices, which go up by £1.

They can be bought by visiting the U’s ticket office or by calling 0845 437 9089.

What's this? People coming together to be POSITIVE?

In all seriousness really good to see/ hear. Hopefully we can take a number. If I could make it I would definately make my way. Good away day that. I fancy a positive result too.
To all those who go all the best. Fingers and everything else crossed for big win.

Come on Colchester, time to get right behind our team & show a UNITED front at Stevenage. We took 800 to Orient so let's hope for a similar turnout ( or more!) on Saturday.
Come on Joe & the boys, you can still turn this around!

In the same publication as this appears (Wednesday), JD has also made it known there will be few new signings before the start of next season irrespective of what division the club finds it's self in. In other words more of the same with no transfer budget, loans and introducing youngsters. Well, that's made my mind up for me regarding whether or not to renew my season ticket because having gone through the last two unbelievably painful seasons, I'm not prepared to go through a third. I'm afraid the club looks as though it could be hurtling towards non-league even faster than I thought.

For a guy that bangs on about the club and what a avid supporter you are, yet you are not going to the most important game of the season? Stop berating others Super, this shows that your beliefs or alleged passion does not run as deep as you would have us believe or you would have not made alternative arrangements and missed this game?

Totally..... I am a Colchester United supporter. More than some, less than others. I have a season ticket but rarely go to away games. I have stag party plans, arranged for me, well before the season started. Not that I need to explain myself.

Super, I never want anyone to explain themselves to me but your attitude seems to demand that every time when we make a comment? Lets face it your stag party unless it is abroad you could take part later, just another token supporter when it suits as you have already admitted that you rarely go to away games, hardly a supporter then? I hope they get something out of the game purely because this town and its loyal supporters deserve it! But I also hope that this is Joe Dunne's last season, he did his best but it just not good enough any more! Best of luck everyone.

Yawn.... Wow, this is boring. God knows how other readers must feel!!!!

To be honest, I know people who are football mad. They watch any game on tv British or further a field, and support Arsenal, Chelsea and United. Some of them never go to a live match, but they are still avid fans and supporters. It's their choice.
So with that said, do you think I give a **** how you gauge what does or does not make me a colchester United fan?

Get your memory checked Super Deluded. I've had to put up with your idiotic responses on other stories on here.

Oh, and try and come up with believable excuses. You expect us to believe someone invited you on a stag do...! Good one. Then again, maybe it's your stag do. No, that's even crazier. No one would be dumb enough to agree and put up with a lifetime of listening to your nonsense.

If the stag do is somewhere else, do you have to appoint a new temporary village idiot while you're away?

Would hardly say Super has really taken a beating though Nicky? The replies of super don't suggest that they are particularly bothered by the "beating". It's a game of opinion and Super has opinions, well researched and from their opinion which is all this really is. Sadly on here you can't have your own opinion unless you want to join the masses in having a whinge, point the finger or call for the "sack" of the manager regardless of position in the table (I've said it before and I'll say it again - Aidy Boothroyd was derided on here even though were consistently 4-8th places for 9/10 of his season in charge becasuse we could do "better" and because the football was negative). The same people will moan regardless and would probably moan if they won the lottery because the phone call to camelot would cost them 20p a minute. Some people are just made that way.
Just because there is a general swathe of opinion that goes against Super doens't make the opinion "wrong" just that a significant number of people on here attack a view point than is different to this particular blogs status quo? Of all the people who follow Colchester Utd very few are actually represented on here. Perhaps if they all were we would see that Super would have a bigger following. Who knows? After all the majority of people in the WHCS are positive which goes against the negative drivel spouted on here regardlless of result.
As for having to explain your plans to others based around an away game? Do me a favour. I too would loved to have gone to Stevenage tomorow as I have the last two season but have other plans made well in advance of the season tomorow but doesn't mean I wont have my dodgy digital portable radio in and out of my ear all afternoon. Reality check people yeah.

Good luck tomorrow Baz. If we cannot agree on tactics or even our footballing beliefs, we can at least agree that we will cry ourselves to sleep with a defeat.

Once again, good luck tomorrow Colchester United and the travelling supporters.

I've not seen Eddy Dunce comment before and his writing style is incredibly similar to your own unique prose Super Deluded.

I don't know what's sadder: creating Eddy Dunce in the first place, or failing to have the guts to admit it's you.

By the way, you now need to log out as Super Deluded, log in as Eddy Dunce and say that you are not one and the same.

Work on Eddy Dunce's writing style too. It's way too similar at the moment.

Bert you are spot on Eddy D is without a doubt one of super waluigi’s numerous multiple accounts on this site. This particular alias, Eddy D, rather ‘conveniently’ appeared/registered to ‘try’ to back up super waluigi in some pointless argument he was losing and that no one else would have been interested in either way.

I'm glad someone else has spotted super waluigi's rather bizarre behaviour; I do have a little chuckle to myself when he starts posting conversations with himself which are always beyond cringe-worthy. Worryingly I fear super waluigi must be well on the way to having a dozen aliases on this site...

Truly incredible. I posted this morning haven't checked the site all day until now and apparently I have been posting as my alter ego Super! That has really very much made my day. I guess it's not paranoia if people ARE really after you!

By this logic do we assume all the "followers" who cling on and attack Super et al are the same person too? This is probably more than likely given the way the attacks all come thick and fast and are all too quick to back each other up, Hadn't crossed my mind to create multiple accounts.

I'll say it again - it's opinions. Nothing more and nothing less. I'm entilted to mine as much as everyone who disagrees or agrees with me. What a sad world it would be if everyone you come into contact with have the same opinion.

I'm happy to read the view points of super, bert, crazy, noah, nora, boris, ozzie etc etc. Don't always agree with much of certain posters but its always interesting to read a different perspective. Football is great for this reason. So many different styles of play and all effective in thier own way. If everyone played like Barcelona I'd soon be bored of the game. Same as if everyone on here agreed or wrote in the same style.

It's a shame a debate can't be had without resorting to name calling and mud throwing. What's the harm with having a civil disagreement?

As for the Eddy D(unce) comment? Really? Is this supposed to bother me as well as the attack on my writing style? Again, I like to read the different styles and am not out to judge those who are different to mine. I have my opinions on how certain people on here communicate but I'll keep them to myself thanks. Name calling and bitterness bored me many years ago.

Anyway.....best wishes to Joe Dunne and the team. Safe journey and big up to all the travelling fans; wish I could have made it too but sadly other things have to be done too (and no, not a stag do for me - enjoy that Super by the way). I'm sure we'll nearly fill the away end and drive the boys to victory. The travelling contigent is always different class for the u's. Hopefully tomorow can be the start of an end of the season big run in with lots of points.

No. I feel a bit sorry for you to be honest. You're clearly not the sharpest tool in the box. The multiple identities are a futile attempt to justify your incoherent ramblings. Bert- how about this? We all make our own comments based on our own opinion and leave the nastiness and bitterness out? What you've written above is vile and completely unneccessary.

I have no need to get drawn into a huge issue over it but surely you can't be proud of comments like "at best you're on the spectrum, at worst need professional help". There are a significant number of people in the world who have these genuine problems and face them every day so to make fun of them and bring them in to a debate over opinions of football isn't really in spirit of the game. Given today marks the Hillsborough anniversary too let's just agree to disagree eh and spare a thought for those who can no longer have these debates.

Enjoy the trip to Stevenage Bert and all of those who are making the trip. I can't make it sadly (and no, not on a stag trip, really am not Super). but the digital radio will be plugged in and a (celebratory) beer is in the fridge for later too. I'm going for a 3-1 win

It's a privilege having this newspaper web site (forum) to make comments.
The requirement for registered membership is to have a full UK postal address, a telephone landline, and contact e-mail address.
To suggest a fellow registered member may have duel identity, IS MALICIOUS, and an abuse of your privilege.

Thanks Nora. It is also childish and quite pathetic to make accusations like this.

You need professional help Super Deluded. Reading the imaginary conversations between your multiple identities is frightening. You have a minimum of three aliases on here, perhaps more. But it is good to know that these ramblings from multiple IDs are the work of only one lunatic. You truly are a sandwich short of a picnic. Maybe Super Deluded, Eddy Dunce and Nora (bore) should meet for lunch - table for one!

The sad thing is, even if Eddie, Nora and myself were one person, it would not detract from the fact that you have not wrote a single relevant thing about this article. You still sound like a bitter and nasty old man, picking a fight with me for no reason. At no point have I encouraged you to act this way.

If I have ten accounts on here (which I don't), it should not make any difference to your opinion or the opinion of other bloggers. Why do you focus on things do trivial? Is it because you cannot communicate about the relevant article? Is it the sign that you lost a battle that should never have happened?

So, if not ten accounts, how many have you got? You will feel better when you finally admit it.

In your head, this is a battle. You probably think the support from your multiple accounts somehow validates your idiotic viewpoints, despite the huge negative scores you consistently rack up.

Maybe this is an outlet for you. I don't know. From a psychoanalysis perspective, it's quite interesting trying to understand your rationale for pretending to be multiple people on here.

That's the beauty of the internet, I guess. I look forward to more passionate defence of Super Deluded and his beautiful mind from Eddy Dunce and Nora (bore). Maybe you could set up a new account and see how long it takes us to see through that one too?

I have said it before, so I shall say it again. Please stop. This is really embarrassing. I don't care if you think I have 400,000 accounts and that you think I am insane. It is totally irrelevant to everything.
Not to mention that you look like a right plonker.

Can we leave it now? Please. Save yourself (and me too) some face.

etc...

is the same sad individual! No amount of spurious denials from your numerous accounts is going to change that... The party is over waluigi; you might as well come clean now as what little credibility your accounts had has been blown out of the water!

I don't want Super Deluded kicked off the site. I think he needs this outlet. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just not multiple opinions under multiple identities

"A guilty conscience needs to confess. A work of art is a confession." - Albert Camus.

Time to come clean Super Deluded, pick one of your identities to use, retire the rest and move on. You've been exposed hook, line and sinker. The only question that remains now is whether you're man enough to admit it or not.
