Colchester United's under-18s are through to the Youth Alliance national final following a penalty shoot-out win over Portsmouth in the area final tonight.
But the win came at a cost, with striker Macauley Bonne stretchered off in the first half with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
Goals from Dion Sembie-Ferris and Callum Harrison for the U's took the game to penalties after the tie finished 2-2 after 90 minutes in front of a crowd of 348 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
And the U's prevailed on spot-kicks to book a meeting with Bradford City, in the national final.
