Colchester United manager Joe Dunne is considering raiding the loan market this week, amid continuing concerns over Jabo Ibehre’s fitness.
The U’s leading goalscorer sat out the Coventry City clash with a pelvic and hamstring problem.
It was the second successive game Ibehre has missed, prompting Dunne to consider bringing in a new forward on a temporary basis.
Dunne said: “He’s an important player for us but I’ll have to activate a transfer if I can’t get him fit."
