Jane Li made history after winning a treble of titles at Colchester and District Table Tennis League’s annual tournament.
And the talented 14-year-old had plenty to celebrate after also being crowned the league’s youngest-ever champion, at Holmwood House School Sports Hall.
Tollgate player Li became the first-ever player to win the cadet (under-15), junior ladies’ (under-18) and senior ladies’ titles at the tournament.
She claimed the ladies senior title after beating Aimee Sparkes in a five-set thriller and won all 12 of her singles matches, across the three events.
The Colchester County High School for Girls pupil also scooped the junior doubles crown, after successfully teaming up with Tollesbury’s Ben Page.
