BRANTHAM ATHLETIC boss Paul Abrahams described his side’s 6-0 thumping at home to Felixstowe & Walton as a “very bad day at the office”.

And he admitted it was “horrendous” watching his shell-shocked side concede all six goals during a one-sided first half.

Ben Cranfield smashed four for the rampant visitors, in Saturday’s Thurlow Nunn League premier division contest – a dress rehearsal for next week’s Red Insure Cup semi-final.

Elsewhere, BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT put three more points on the board thanks to a 2-0 victory at Thetford.

Kevin Coyle and Terry Rymer scored their goals – both in the first half – as James Webster’s side climbed to third in the premier division, leapfrogging Gorleston.

FC CLACTON’S game at Gorleston was postponed, while neither STANWAY ROVERS and WIVENHOE TOWN were due to play on Saturday.

In division one, Jordan Hutchings and Jordan Palmer both scored twice as HALSTEAD TOWN moved up to second thanks to a 5-1 victory at home to Swaffham.

BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES suffered a 1-0 defeat at second-from-bottom Downham.
