Joe Dunne is ready to tinker with his Colchester United team in a bid to avoid the risk of his players suffering from burnout.

Having recently gone more than three weeks without a competitive game, the U’s are now facing up to the prospect of a fixture pile-up.

Colchester’s home clash with Preston North End tomorrow begins an energy-sapping run of 13 games in the space of 42 days.

What a joke, Dunne! The players ought to do a proper full-time job, working a minimum core hours of 40 and then having to do extra time to catch up with work, then having to do a part time job to supplement your income. They would know what 'burn-out' was then!! I can't believe that comment! I can hear the excuses from Dunne now - 'We have had an exhausting amount of games to catch up on!' Seriously, you are a joke, Joe Dunne! Get real!!

If the players were In top shape, then it should make little difference. Just a matter of interest, looks like John Ward made a good signing with Jon Jo.Otoole Using him up front Jon Jo got his 14h goal of the season last night.
