Mason Spence is set to face his former team-mates when Colchester United travel to play Concord Rangers in their Essex Senior Cup semi-final tonight.
The young U’s defender has just completed a month-long loan spell with the Beachboys, for whom he made two appearances in Skrill South.
And Spence is expected to make a swift return to the Aspect Arena, where he will be part of a Colchester side aiming to book a meeting with Braintree Town in the final.
The U’s are likely to field predominantly under-21 players against Danny Cowley’s side, who lie in a mid-table position in their division.
But the likes of Gavin Massey, Mark Cousins and Tosin Olufemi could also feature tonight (kick-off 7.45pm), as they aim to secure some valuable game time following recent postponements.
