Colchester United are taking a look at Soham Town Rangers' teeange defender Connor Wood.

The 17-year-old full-back is expected to spend six weeks at the U's Florence Park training ground, while continuing to play for Rangers in Ryman League division one north.

Wood is expected to take part in academy sessions under Tony Humes at the U's academy and could also play for their under-18 side, managed by Wayne Brown and John McGreal.
