Vose performance leaves good impression

Essex County Standard: Making an impact - Dominic Vose has impressed for Colchester United over recent games in League One. Making an impact - Dominic Vose has impressed for Colchester United over recent games in League One.

Dominic Vose is getting better and better the more he plays for Colchester United, according to boss Joe Dunne.

The 20-year-old impressed in Colchester's 4-0 thrashing of Stevenage on Boxing Day and played a big part in Craig Eastmond's first goal.

Vose has enjoyed a run in the U's side having joined them on a short-term contract in November.

And although he believes there is still room for improvement from the former West Ham United academy player, U's boss Dunne is happy with what he is seeing.

Dunne said: “Dominic is getting better as the games go on.

“There’s still a lot that we need to speak about.

“There were little parts of the Stevenage game when he needs to learn that unless we have possession of the ball, we don’t want him picking up because it leaves us open to a counter attack.

“But generally I think his energy and enthusiasm to learn the game and want to play in a technical game is great for us all."

I think although Craig played well, if he hadn't have got a brace, it would have been vose who would have definitely been man of the match.
He should def get a contract much better than getting someone on loan who comes in for game or too then goes, so many loanees have damaged the team and have had no consistency

Vose had an excellent game and he is impressing in each game he plays. Hope he is offered a long term deal as I think he will be an asset for us.

If there isn't enough money in the pot then we should get rid of the deadwood in the shape of Andy Bond asap. He is he surplus to requirements and needs to be released in the January transfer window to allow him chance to find another club.

Very impressed with Vose on this performance. Felt he went missing for 20 mins at the srart of the second half but generally very good.
It was good to see a player want the ball and recycle it positively all the time. He could be that little spark we need to compliment the steadiness of Bean and Wright. Long may it continue.

Vose has certainly livened up our attacking play and in my opinion should have been in the starting eleven for the Notts County game. Should definitely be signed up on a long term contract in January..
