Braintree Town boss Alan Devonshire expects striker Sean Marks to be fit to face Cambridge United in the Skrill Premier on Boxing Day, but there are doubts over the fitness of both Kenny Davis and Ryan Peters.
Marks received a deep cut to his knee during the Iron's last game - the 3-1 FA Trophy defeat by Lincoln City - and he may have been a doubt for last weekend's league game against Macclesfield.
But the postponemet of that game has allowed Marks to recover and Devonshire said he should now be fit for the Boxing Day trip to Cambridge.
However, Ryan Peters is still suffering from a tight hamstring and skipper Kenny Davis has knee and ankle problems so both will face fitness tests ahead of Thursday's post-festive fixture.
The game at Cambridge kicks off at noon and is due to be televised live on the BT Sports channel.
