GOALKEEPER Keith Tucker will be back in an FC CLACTON shirt today.

The shot-stopper hung up his gloves September but has been tempted out for retirement for one game only, in today’s Thurlow Nunn League premier division clash at Thetford.

Clacton will be without regular keeper Joe Fowler, who is suspended following his recent sending-off at Haverhill Rovers.

Jake Plane was also red-carded in that game and will also miss out today.

Meanwhile, boss Ray Turner says his players must bounce back from last weekend’s heart-breaking 2-1 defeat at home to Walsham-le-Willows.

The Seasiders were winning but then conceded two very late goals.

Turner admitted the setback was a bitter pill to swallow, but that he and his players must put it behind them.

“We’ve got to put things right,” he said.

“We have to get over it and look forward to today.

“We can analyse and talk about it until we’re blue in the face, but it won’t change anything.

“It’s happened now, we have to move on and in football your next game is always the most important.”

Goalkeeper Fowler will also miss Clacton’s following match, against Brightlingsea Regent.

He faces a two-game ban as his recent red card was his second of the season. Elsewhere, STANWAY ROVERS, WIVENHOE TOWN and BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT will also be hoping to give themselves a pre-Christmas boost in today’s round of Thurlow Nunn League matches.

Angelo Harrop’s Rovers face a trip to Walsham-le-Willows while the Dragons are at home to high-flying Gorleston.

FA Vase heroes Brightlingsea are also on their travels as they go to CRC.

BRANTHAM ATHLETIC host Haverhill Rovers.

In division one, HALSTEAD TOWN go to Haverhill Borough and BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES visit SWAFFHAM TOWN.
